We are designers and know how much thought and time can go into a project. We also know how important the execution of your design is.

That is why we don’t just cut your files but are happy to help you through your project by suggesting materials, optimizing or creating your files and providing samples for larger projects. If  you are not quite sure that laser cutting is right for your project send us a quick email at hello@anyline-ny.com. If laser cutting is not the best process for your execution we can also recommend fabricators that we use for our projects.

Once we have received a vector file or artwork from you we can give you a quote on your project. We charge $100.00/hr for cutting. Our quote will be based on the actual cutting time, along with any prep time, and computer work that is necessary to finish your project.  We will need your files to generate a quote so the quickest way to receive a quote is to send your artwork to hello@anyline-ny.com. We are happy to help you with any part of your project, but if you would like to reduce the cost of your project the best thing for you to do is take on as much of the preparation, for instance things like cutting material down to the size of the laser cutter before you hand it over to us will save you money.

We can also offer rush service for an additional rate of $150/hr. Rush would make your project a priority and would be as quick as we can turn around your project from the time we receive your final files and material.

Our charges are as follows:
$100.00/hr cutting time – minimum $100.00
$100.00/hr for computer time – this includes any work we need to do to create vector artwork or edit your files
$150.00/hr for same day cutting
Payment is due upon completion of the job. We accept cash, check, or credit card.

The biggest factor in generating a quote for your project will be cutting time. The more intricate your artwork the longer it will take to cut. A single sheet of cutting can take a couple of minutes to more than a couple of hours depending on the artwork.

The laser is very accurate and will follow the lines in the file you draw. One main thing to consider for engraving is if you want your shapes, letters, etc. filled in. This will increase the time and cost considerably.

The quickest way for us to prepare a quote for you is to fill out our quote form here: AnylineOrderForm. Once you have filled out the form email it to hello@anyline-ny.com along with any other information you think will help us understand the specifics of your project.

Although we are located in convenient location in Manhattan it is best to set up an appointment to insure we are not with other clients and are available at a time that is convenient to you.

File Setup

It takes a digital file to make your project happen. The laser cutter uses a file made up of lines or “vectors.” The laser follows these lines either etching or cutting the material of your choice. If you have a digital vector file that is ideal. If not send us an image or whatever you have and we can help you make it into a digital vector file. IF you already have a vector file you can help cut down time and cost by laying out your file so it fits on our laser cutters’ bed. We have two laser cutters, one with a bed that is 18″ x 32″ and another with a larger bed that is 24″ X 48″. It will also speed up your project if you put the line work on different layers and make the layer names descriptive. For example: layer 01 – cut, layer 02 etch, layer – 03 sheet, etc.

We are happy to prepare your files for you, but this time will be additional to the laser cutting time for your project.

We accept many types of CAD and Vector file formats. The most common are: .ai, .dwg, .dxf, and .3dm.

We can cut a variety if materials. Some of the more common materials we cut are listed below. If you don’t see the material you would like to use, give us a call, we’ll let you know if we can cut it or not.

Material Sourcing: We don’t stock a large amount of material, but we would be happy to source the material for your project at an additional cost. To insure that we do get the right material we will need you to provide us with specs. We are conveniently located in Manhattan so you can also drop off materials if that works best for you. If you are planning to use a material like wood or leather where every piece is unique, it might be best for you to source the material to ensure that you get the look and feel you are after.
